We are seeking Accounts Assistant in Philippines.
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who's responsible for supporting the Head of Finance in delivering accurate and timely financial information through the effective maintenance of financial records, day-to-day bookkeeping, and administrative support. The role ensures the smooth running of transactional finance processes and contributes to the preparation of period-end accounts.
Reports To: Head of Finance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Work from home set up within Philippines
Hourly Rate: 3 USD + Ph gov't contribution + 10% night differential
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping & Transactional Accounting
- Record and post all bank and cash transactions (receipts and payments) accurately and promptly.
- Maintain and update daily cash books.
- Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring timely processing of supplier invoices and prompt responses to queries.
- Code invoices correctly in line with the company's nominal ledger and cost centre structure.
- Review aged creditors reports regularly and take appropriate follow-up actions.
- Prepare and upload online bank payments for approval.
- Import weekly sales invoices into the SAGE accounting system.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and support reconciliation tasks at period-end.
- Process monthly staff expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy.
- Record and control petty cash transactions.
Finance Support & Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the wider Finance team as required.
- Assist in the preparation and review of period-end management accounts.
- Support timesheet processing and assist with payroll-related tasks.
- Provide cover for colleagues during holidays or absences.
- Assist with ad hoc finance-related projects and reporting tasks.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and timely financial information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with spreadsheets and formulas.
- Experience using accounting software (SAGE preferred but not essential).
- Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies effectively.
- A proactive team player, able to work collaboratively and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
