About the role
This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial operations of our growing company.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Providing administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information
- Adhering to internal control procedures and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting assistant role, preferably within the oil and gas industry
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Relevant educational qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, would be an advantage
