About the role

Gencore Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to join our thriving team in Angeles City, Pampanga. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the overall financial management of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions
  2. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  3. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to management
  5. Coordinate with project managers and other departments to gather financial information
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  7. Provide support for internal and external audits
  8. Perform other ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as required

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification (NOT REQUIRED)
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction industry
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  6. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
