As a Junior Mortgage Broking Assistant/Processor, you'll collate loan documents, prepare applications, verify compliance, liaise with lenders, and ensure every mortgage process runs smoothly and on time. Your attention to detail will empower clients to achieve their financial goals.

The Qualifications We Seek

• A college degree holder
• Minimum of 1 year of end-to-end Australian mortgage loan processing experience
• Experience working for an Australian Mortgage Broker for at least one year is required
• Experience using MyCrm, Broker Engine, or similar loan processing platforms preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role within a residential mortgage lending institution strongly preferred
• Proven ability to assess complex loan applications, including income verification, credit analysis, and review of financial statements
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong compliance and documentation accuracy skills
• Strong analytical and numeracy abilities
• Highly computer literate, proficient in Excel, Word, and web-based processing systems
• Must display exceptional phone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Your Daily Tasks

• Collate all applicant documentation to ensure applications meet established time frames
• Gather supporting documents for loans
• Prepare serviceability calculators for clients by interpreting financial data
• Request pricing discounts and negotiate competitive rates with lenders
• Order property valuations
• Prepare loan lodgements, RP data searches, and property reports
• Perform data validations and run files through compliance checklists
• Adhere to strict timeframes and deadlines for loan applications
• Collect information from lenders for existing clients and prepare a database
• Verify potentially fraudulent items and flag to broker
• Research lender offerings and prepare product comparison grids
• Manage and assist existing clients with repricing, loan variations, and refinancing requests

Loan Processing:

• Chase lenders and valuation teams for status updates
• Handle rework, administration, and applicant calls
• Prepare post-settlement activities
• Manage broker calendars, appointments, and travel schedules
• Provide marketing, sales, and operational support tasks
• Update broker CRM with all information and attach scanned files
