Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic HR leadership and operational support across APAC countries, with the Philippines as the central base of operations.
Partner closely with senior leadership to develop and implement talent strategies that support business objectives.
Oversee employee relations, performance management, Payroll, talent development, workforce planning, and HR compliance in assigned region.
Act as a trusted advisor to country leaders and coach managers on organizational design, talent planning, and HR best practices.
Ensure consistent HR practices while customizing local market requirements and cultural nuances.
Lead employee engagement and retention efforts and support employer branding strategies across the region.
Collaborate with global HR teams on enterprise-wide programs such as DEI, learning & development, and HR systems.
Manage and develop regional HR team members (4 direct reports, 1 indirect reports) to drive high performance and effective service delivery.
Maintains government compliance reports.
Maintains and prepares quarterly HR Metrics as needed.
Oversite and ability to process payroll function for APAC, with a partnership to US payroll stakeholder. Teams will cross train and support as needed.
Oversite and ownership of benefits for respective markets.
Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting risks and concerns, evaluating milestones and change management.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
4+ years of progressive HR experience, prefer at least 1–3 years in a multi-country or regional HR role.
Prior experience supporting operations in the Philippines and at least two additional Southeast Asian markets (Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Philippines) preferred.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations in the APAC region.
Proven ability to build relationships and influence across a matrixed and cross-functional environment.
Strong English communication skills—both written and verbal.
Ability and willingness to travel regionally as needed.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive business results.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality HR services and programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
Skilled in HRIS and other related technology. Workday, ADP, Cloud Pay strongly preferred.
Must be willing to work onsite, straddle/night hours to align with US HR team and business operations as well as other APAC sites.
Well organized, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing HR teams.
