About the role
The Industrial Relations Manager is responsible for maintaining effective employee and labor relations across all sites. The role closely collaborates with HR Business Partners and Operations teams to ensure consistent application of company policies, fair handling of employee cases, and compliance with labor laws.
This position supports a culture of integrity, respect, and industrial harmony through proactive engagement, coaching, and timely resolution of employee concerns.
What you'll be doing
Employee Relations Management
- Work closely with HR Business Partners and Operations teams to manage employee relations and disciplinary cases across sites.
- Provide expert advice to managers on handling employee issues, ensuring due process and fairness.
- Conduct administrative hearings and ensure complete and compliant documentation of employee cases.
- Conduct site visits to assess employee climate, address workplace issues, and strengthen engagement at the ground level.
- Ensure alignment of all disciplinary actions with company standards and labor regulations.
Labor Compliance & Monitoring
- Support DOLE audits, labor inspections, and submission of required reports.
- Keep abreast of labor advisories and provide operational guidance to ensure full compliance.
- Maintain accurate and updated labor-related documentation and reports.
Capability Building & Advisory Support
- Provide guidance and coaching to HR Business Partners and line managers on employee relations and disciplinary process management.
- Facilitate training sessions on labor law compliance, disciplinary procedures, and conflict management.
- Partner with HRBPs to promote positive employee engagement and effective communication channels.
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain and update the database of employee cases, grievances, and labor disputes.
- Provide reports and trend analyses to HR leadership, identifying key risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Support management in developing policies and preventive programs to minimize employee disputes.
What we're looking for
- Licensed Bachelor of Law
- At least 5–7 years of solid experience in Employee and Industrial Relations, preferably in a multi-site, service-oriented organization.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and DOLE processes.
- Demonstrated experience in handling employee cases, investigations, and administrative hearings.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR Business Partners and site leaders.
- Willing to travel across country-wide site if necessary.
