QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience in structural design, with a strong portfolio of Australian residential and commercial projects.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g., AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders

ROLES:

Lead Structural Design:

  • Spearhead the structural design for a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects, from initial concept sketches through to final construction documentation.

Technical Mastery:

  • Apply your deep expertise in steel (hot-rolled and coldformed), timber, concrete, and post-tensioned concrete to create safe, efficient, and robust structural systems.

Mentor & Guide:

  • Lead, train, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. You will provide clear engineering markups and direction to our drafting team.

Advanced Analysis:

  • Utilise industry-leading software such as Spacegass, Inducta, RAPT or similar to perform complex structural analysis and design validation.

Drive Value Engineering:

  • Champion value engineering principles on every project, optimising designs for cost-effectiveness and constructability without compromising quality or safety.

Collaborate for Success:

  • Work effectively with architects, clients, and cross functional teams to ensure integrated, collaborative, and successful project outcomes.

Project Oversight:

  • Manage project workflows, budgets, and timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
