Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Java Developer to join our team. This role requires strong technical expertise in Java development combined with the ability and enthusiasm to take on people management responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with modern Java frameworks and tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to lead, mentor, and support a team of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality Java applications and microservices.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and fostering growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to align solutions with business requirements.
  • Ensure code quality, reliability, and scalability through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices.
  • Manage the full software development life cycle (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Java applications to maintain performance and stability.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation and API specifications.
  • Ensure the use of proper tools and practices for version control, build management, and deployment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of solid, hands-on experience in Java development (senior-level expertise).
  • Strong foundation in Java Core/Java Foundation.
  • Proven experience with:
  • Java 8
  • Spring Boot
  • RESTful Microservices/REST APIs
  • JPA/Hibernate
  • Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent): SQLs, table structures, etc.
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and performing API testing using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of API documentation practices (Javadocs, OpenAPI, Swagger, or equivalent).
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Interest and readiness to take on people management responsibilities, including mentoring and guiding junior developers.

Compensation: Open to discuss depending on the career level

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Php90, Php110,000.00 per month
