
HR / Payroll Officer (Cebu Office-based)

The HR / Payroll Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment coordination and onboarding to payroll and performance review support. This role ensures smooth HR operations, accurate payroll processing, compliance with labor regulations, and a positive employee experience throughout their tenure with the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including interview scheduling and documentation.
- Prepare employment contracts, onboarding materials, and new hire documentation.
- Maintain and update HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Administer employee benefits, attendance, and leave tracking.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Handle timesheet management, validations, and approvals in coordination with team leads.
- Support visa and work pass applications or renewals when applicable.
- Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews and clearance procedures.
- Assist in employee engagement programs, performance review cycles, and HR policy implementation.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
Required Experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience in HR administration, payroll processing, or a similar role.
- Experience with HR systems and payroll platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and employment standards.

- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient With
- HRIS or payroll systems (e.g., Sprout, Hurey, or similar).
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for payroll and reporting.
Experience Advantage
- Experience in regional payroll or multi-country HR support.
- Exposure to visa or work pass processing.
