
Procurement Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant specializing in importation to support our procurement team. The role will be responsible for coordinating import requirements, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of goods from international suppliers in compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sourcing and purchasing of imported materials and supplies.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, import documentation, and shipping instructions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth import transactions.
- Monitor shipment schedules and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
- Verify invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations for accuracy.
- Maintain records of imports, supplier contracts, and related procurement files.
- Support the procurement team in supplier evaluation and price comparison.
- Ensure compliance with government importation regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in procurement, importation, or logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, import documentation, and shipping processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
