Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a leading property services provider in Australia, specializing in maintenance, construction, and renovations. They prioritize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring every project meets high industry standards.

They are looking for a detail-oriented Quotation Estimator to evaluate project specifications, develop accurate cost estimates, and ensure alignment with project scope. Your expertise will play a key role in delivering precise quotations and supporting project success

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Analyze project details applying Australian construction methods and make informed assumptions to generate precise estimates.
  • Respond to client inquiries via email, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Liaise with suppliers to request pricing, negotiate terms, and secure competitive material and subcontractor quotes.
  • Provide pricing, data, and resource support to on-the-road estimators.
  • Maintain and refine cost databases and templates within Simpro to enhance efficiency.
  • Verify and refine pre-prepared cost breakdowns for consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintain clear records of estimates, revisions, and communications for auditing and project tracking

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE:

  • Experience in estimating, quoting, or supporting construction operations.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction methods and industry practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with field estimators.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Simpro experience or familiarity with similar estimation software.
  • SketchUp and AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Experience in liaising with suppliers for pricing and negotiations.
  • Background in construction, property maintenance, or administrative support for Australian builders.
