About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with strong capability in completing accurate takeoffs for hydraulic, gas, and civil components across domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.

You must have a strong eye for detail, experience interpreting plans and specifications, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively to support tender submissions, cost estimates, and project delivery.

You will be dealing with components including:

  • Pipes and pipe materials
  • Drainage
  • Sewer systems
  • Water supply
  • Earthworks, excavation, and site preparation

You will also work closely with the Director, with direct daily access via email or phone whenever assistance is required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for hydraulic, gas, and civil works
  • Measure quantities and calculate costs for materials and labor
  • Prepare tenders, estimates, and quotations
  • Support project planning and submissions
  • Perform costings and back-costing
  • Interpret and work with a range of plans, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Communicate with clients when needed to update specifications or discuss variations
  • Prepare documentation for variations and updates

Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)

  • Experience in:

  • Stormwater drainage

  • Sewer design
  • Water supply systems
  • Earthworks and siteworks
  • Pipe material selection and sizing
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Estimating or Quantity Surveying
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Experience handling client communication professionally
  • Strong understanding of siteworks, pipelines, and drainage systems
  • Ability to work with technical drawings and engineering plans
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with hydraulic/civil experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Simpro Project Management Software

    (job scheduling, quoting, invoicing, back-costing, workflow monitoring)
  • Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial projects
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with project management or estimating systems
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek assistance when needed
