Accounting Staff/Bookkeeper

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepares and sends Monthly Portage Bills to vessels on or before the 5th of each month.
  • Generates Final Wage Accounts for off-signing crew members.
  • Prepares Rejoining Bonus computation upon request from crewing dept.
  • Reviews monthly allotment reports prepared by Ms. Lulu.
  • Conduct on-signers briefing
  • Encodes Journal Entries related to bank remittances (e.g., allotments, final wages, rejoining payments, etc.).
  • Records Accounts Receivable from Monthly Bills of Charges.
  • Monitors Accounts Receivable from vessels schedule.
  • Tracks account schedules to support Monthly Financial Statement preparation.
  • Prepares draft of Financial Statements.
  • Post Adjusting Entries as necessary.
  • Monitors FWA processing and advise crew once processed
  • Acts as a back-up for Tanker vessel requests during the absence of the Accounting Assistant – Tanker.
  • Support/help other team members when necessary
  • Performs other tasks as assigned in support of the Accounting Department.
