A leading construction and engineering group is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager (Engineer) to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for large-scale construction projects. The role ensures timely delivery of materials and services while upholding quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive terms.
  • Ensure all procured materials and services meet project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Monitor costs, budgets, and market trends to support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and the Commercial Team for procurement scheduling and forecasting.
  • Maintain an updated supplier database and foster long-term vendor relationships.
  • Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and performance evaluations for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Licensed Engineer preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost control.
  • Proficient in procurement and inventory management systems (ERP, SAP, or equivalent).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Can work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
