Procurement Assistant
Overall Objectives:
The Procurement Assistant supports the Procurement Manager in executing procurement activities for non-finished goods, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role focuses on administrative, operational, and coordination tasks to enable efficient procurement processes, timely delivery, and strong supplier relationships
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing activities - Collect supplier information, prepare requests for quotation (RFQs), and support evaluation of bids
- Support contract management - Maintain contract records, track renewal dates, and ensure documentation is complete
- Coordinate procurement documentation - Prepare purchase orders, bidding documents, and approval forms in line with company policies
- Monitor supplier performance - Track delivery schedules, escalate delays, and maintaining supplier scorecards
- Facilitate communication - Act as liaison between Procurement Manager, internal stakeholders, and suppliers for routine updates
- Maintain procurement records - Organize files, update databases, and ensure audit readiness
- Support process improvements - Provide feedback on procurement workflows and suggest efficiency enhancements
- Ensure compliance - Follow procurement rules, regulations, and systems, reporting any deviations to the Procurement Manager
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations ProcurementAssistant
