Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for the timely, efficient, and cost-effective acquisition of materials required for company operations and projects. The role ensures that the procurement process, from requesting quotations to coordinating deliveries, is handled with accuracy, transparency, and professionalism while maintaining good relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing of Materials

  • Procures private and project-based materials according to approved requests.

Purchase Order Management

  • Creates and processes online purchase orders in compliance with company standards.
  • Updates purchased material records to maintain accurate procurement documentation.

Supplier Management

  • Requests and evaluates quotations from suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.
  • Conducts canvassing of materials to identify the best value for the company.
  • Maintains effective communication and relationships with suppliers for timely delivery.

Order and Delivery Coordination

  • Reports the status of purchase orders to management and requesting departments.
  • Schedules pick-ups of purchased materials as needed.
  • Coordinates with the Automotive Department for vehicle scheduling and dispatch for material pick-ups.

Internal Coordination

  • Communicates with the Warehouse Supervisor regarding incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Coordinates with the Technical Department and Junior Architects to fulfill material requests and ensure accuracy of orders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction or engineering projects.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and online procurement systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
