Job Summary:

We are looking for a Department Section Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of a specific section within our retail department. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating merchandising efforts, and maintaining customer service standards to help meet sales targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesI. Customer Service

  • Prepare assigned area before store opening, ensuring cleanliness, lighting, and merchandise arrangement.
  • Orient, schedule, and assign shifts to team members to maintain service efficiency.
  • Train Sales Associates and promo personnel on product knowledge, customer engagement, and company policies.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient customer service is delivered at all times.

II. Merchandising

  • Coordinate with Category Heads on inventory movement, stock assortment, and merchandising needs.
  • Provide selling tips and product knowledge to team members.
  • Assist with visual displays and promotional setups.
  • Submit timely reports and feedback related to merchandise and operations.
  • Review and process damaged merchandise appropriately.

III. Security and Safety

  • Ensure merchandise is securely and properly displayed to minimize loss and damage.
  • Monitor expiration dates and coordinate timely pull-out of near-expiry items.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Security teams to maintain a safe and theft-free environment.
  • Share accountability for merchandise losses.

IV. Administrative

  • Monitor attendance and schedule adjustments in coordination with HR.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Supervise employee performance and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Submit personnel-related reports such as overtime, undertime, and staffing needs.
  • Ensure all staff are well-groomed and in proper uniform.
  • Review and endorse Plan Order forms from team members to Category Heads.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in retail or similar roles
  • Preferably 3–5 years of experience in Sales – Retail/General
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Capable of managing team performance and department operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet goals
  • Flexible and willing to work on shifting schedules
  • Willing to be assigned in Davao
