IT ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the tracking, managing, and reporting of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role involves ensuring compliance with organizational policies and optimizing asset utilization.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Tracking and Management

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, etc.).
  • Track asset status, location, and assignment.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings or optimization.

Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through disposal.
  • Ensure timely maintenance, upgrades, and replacements of assets.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with hardware maintenance/warranty, software licensing agreements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain documentation and records for audits and reporting purposes.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings or optimization.

Coordination and Support

  • Work with procurement, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless asset management.

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors for procurement, warranties, and service provision.

Policy Development

  • Assist in developing and updating asset management policies and procedures.
  • Promote asset management policies within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management practices and tools.
  • A MUST HAVE
  • Experience with asset management software (e.g., ServiceNow, Snipe-IT).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of software licensing and compliance requirements.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
  • Fluent Mandarin is preferred but not a requirement
