Staff Accountant

DCX is looking for a Home-Based Staff Accountant to join our U.S.-based client's finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting senior accountants with audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Accounts Payable – Record and manage vendor invoices and payments, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable – Create invoices, apply payments, manage collections, and monitor AR aging reports.
• General Ledger – Post daily journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization.
• Financial Statements – Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Reconciliation – Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Reporting – Support month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
• Administrative Support – Maintain financial documentation for audit readiness and provide general assistance to the accounting department.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Accounts Payable/Receivables or General Accounting.
• Language Proficiency: Very strong verbal and written English skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software.
• Industry Knowledge:
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and PH accounting principles, GAAP, and tax laws.
• Offshore accounting experience is highly preferred.

• Salary Range: PHP 55,000 to 60,000
