Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. The main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a safe and healthy workplace for all employees by implementing and monitoring the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs.
  • Ensures full compliance with DOLE OSH Standards and DENR environmental regulations, including the preparation, submission, and maintenance of all required reports and permits.
  • Serves as Secretary of the OSH Committee, coordinating meetings, documenting proceedings, and ensuring effective implementation of committee resolutions.
  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with DOLE, DOH, WHO, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Conducts regular safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and trainings to promote
  • Performs daily and periodic inspections of office and production areas, identifies workplace hazards, and implements corrective and preventive measures.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and documents unsafe acts and conditions, and recommends appropriate safety controls and interventions.
  • Leads and supports preparations for ISO (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716) and other internal or external audits related to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Reports directly to the Director / Technical Head, providing regular updates on safety performance, compliance status, and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a certified Safety Officer
  • DOLE-accredited and knowledgeable in OSH Standards
  • Familiar with DENR regulations and basic environmental compliance
  • Knowledgeable in chemical safety, GMP, and risk assessment
  • Skilled in emergency response, waste management, and safety documentation
  • Proficient in MS Office; able to lead safety trainings and toolbox talks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php21, Php23,000.00 per month
