Job Description
As a Finance & Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily finance operations, ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, and collaborate with international teams to drive financial performance, strategy, and accountability.

The Qualifications We Seek
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- 5+ years' experience in a finance leadership or management role, with solid knowledge of the Australian market
- Strong knowledge of NDIS financial operations and compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing finance teams within disability, aged care, or NFP sectors
- Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to strict deadlines
Desirable:
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
- Familiarity with SCHADS Award and employee entitlements under Australian employment law
- Previous experience supporting finance across multi-site or international teams
Your Daily Tasks
Financial Operations & Oversight
- Manage daily accounting functions including AR, AP, Payroll, Collections
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of NDIS claims, invoicing, and participant plan utilization
- Coordinate with service delivery teams on billing, cancellations, and funding changes
- Maintain robust internal controls across payment processing, fund allocations, and payroll
- Support timely month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Strategic Financial Management
- Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting
- Track and analyze financial trends, NDIS pricing updates, and sector shifts
- Contribute to cost modelling, scenario planning, and grant/funding applications
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including ATO, Fair Work, SCHADS Award, and NDIS Pricing Arrangements
- Oversee preparation of BAS, superannuation, STP, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations
- Maintain audit readiness by supporting internal and external audit processes
- Ensure data accuracy across all financial reporting systems
System & Process Optimization
- Improve efficiency of finance operations through systems and automation
- Maintain financial software accuracy (e.g., Care Vision, Pay Metrics, Xero, MYOB, NDIS Portals)
- Ensure proper coding of transactions aligned with programs, cost centerss, and funding streams
Leadership & Cross-Regional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a finance team (Revenue Lead, AR, AP, Payroll, Collections)
- Drive high performance, staff development, and accountability
- Collaborate with leadership teams across NSW, QLD, VIC, the Philippines, Egypt, and other TLC sites to align on financial procedures, reporting, and operational support
- Promote unified financial practices across regions while respecting local operational nuances
