About the role
Nade is seeking a talented and experienced Accounting Officer to join our team. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our growing transportation and logistics company. This position offers a unique career-building opportunity. As our Accounting Officer, you won't be stepping into a routine role; you'll be pioneering our accounting function from the ground up. This is your chance to take ownership of setting up financial systems, processes, and reporting standards that will support our company's next phase of growth. You'll work directly with the leadership, giving you both visibility and a strong voice in shaping how the finance function operates. As the first member of our accounting team, you'll play a strategic role in building a department around your vision and expertise. You'll have access to accounting software training , professional training and development to sharpen your skills and stay ahead in your field. As we expand, so do your opportunities—this role is designed with growth and leadership potential in mind
Key Responsibilities
Build from the ground up – Establish our accounting systems, processes, and reporting standards to support business growth.
Own the numbers – Manage day-to-day financial operations with accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulations.
Be the strategist – Work closely with senior leadership to align financial planning with the company's expansion goals.
Drive efficiency – Identify, design, and implement process improvements for faster, more accurate reporting.
Lead with vision – Lay the foundation for a future finance team, with opportunities to take on leadership
as we scale.
- Deliver insights – Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and financial analyses to guide key
business decisions.
- Stay ahead – Leverage professional training and accounting software tools to keep our finance function
What we're looking for
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
