We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our team at Intercare. If you enjoy working with numbers, keeping things organized, and being part of a supportive, patient-focused environment, we'd love to meet you

At Intercare, we're all about helping people feel their best through chiropractic care and wellness services. As our new accounting officer, you'll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly, so we can focus on what we do best: taking care of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • General Ledger & Month-End Close: Manages the general ledger, ensures timely month-end closing, and prepares necessary journal entries and accruals.
  • Reconciliations & Analysis: Handles monthly account and bank reconciliations, performs trend analysis, and ensures accuracy of financial results.
  • Inventory & Asset Management: Ensures proper recording of inventory and assets, and assists in maintaining related processes and documentation.
  • Billing & Payments: Prepares billing statements for clients, and checks payment vouchers for reimbursements, liquidations, and other disbursements.
  • Audit, Tax, and Compliance: Supports audit preparation, tax filings, and contributes to policy development for improved accounting operations.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement: Works with accounting staff and other departments on issue resolution, recommends cost-saving and performance-enhancing measures, and performs other tasks as may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficient in Excel and knowledgeable in other MS Office programs
  • Above-average verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • CPA credential is an advantage with a higher salary offer
