Job Responsibilities:

Cloud Database Management:

*Administering and maintaining databases within cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).

*Management of cloud resources (EC2 instances, EBS volumes, S3 Backets, etc.)

Performance Optimization:

*Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.

Data Security:

*Implementing and enforcing security measures to protect sensitive data, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulations.

Backup and Recovery:

*Developing and executing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and minimize downtime.

Troubleshooting:

*Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, including performance problems, errors, and security breaches.

Database Design and Implementation:

*Assisting with the design, development, and deployment of new databases, including schema design, indexing, and stored procedures.

Monitoring and Alerting:

*Setting up monitoring tools and alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Capacity Planning:

*Assessing future resource needs and ensuring sufficient capacity for database growth.

Collaboration:

*Working with other IT teams, such as developers and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of databases with other systems.

Documentation:

*Creating and maintaining documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Job Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration and AWS cloud services.


• Strong proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.


• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.


• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.


• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are highly desirable.
