Database Administrator (Hybrid – Taguig)

We are seeking an experienced
Database Administrator / Application Support Engineer
to join our technology team. This role will focus on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of critical business systems while driving improvements in database administration and application support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a
    Subject Matter Expert
    (SME) in Database Administration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues
  • Perform database monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system improvements
  • Document best practices and provide knowledge-sharing support
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in
    Database Administration
  • Strong understanding of database management systems & architecture
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Hands-on experience with
    database performance tuning and optimization
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Familiarity with
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, Azure, GCP) and
    cloud databases
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Hybrid or multi-cloud environment experience
  • VMware technologies (vCenter, NSX, vROPS, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps automation
