About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to lead our Finance Team remotely from the Philippines. This is not a back-office role — you will take full ownership of our financial operations across our group of companies, mentor and coach the team, and deliver actionable insights to improve business performance. You will work closely with our Australian leadership team and external accountants, ensuring compliance with all Australian tax and reporting requirements while driving improvements across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Finance Team in the Philippines, driving a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Compliance & Tax

  • Ensure strict compliance with Australian tax regulations, including:

  • GST (Goods and Services Tax)

  • BAS (Business Activity Statements) reporting
  • FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax)
  • Payroll tax and superannuation obligations
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership to turn raw financial data into commercial insights and opportunities for growth.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategy

  • Being accountable for the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cashflow models.
  • Support executive decision-making with financial modelling and scenario planning.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, policies, and internal controls.
  • Ensure processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practice.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with senior leaders in Australia to communicate financial results, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax consultants.
Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 7 years' progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a team management role.
  • Proven experience working with Australian companies and their financial, tax, and compliance obligations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GST, BAS, FBT, and payroll tax reporting.
  • Advanced Xero experience and certification (mandatory).
  • Strong leadership and coaching experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business improvement.
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to present clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
