Senior Systems Analyst

• Contractual (min. of 12 months, renewable)

• Hybrid setup

Works with users and business analyst to define system requirements and analyze system problems. May be responsible for designing and testing standards and solutions. When possible, able to do technical work.

a. Must have good understanding of the Consultant Management System (CMS);

b. Works with the business analyst to develop applications meeting the business requirements;

c. Performs systems testing of multiple modules in CMS primarily on Financial and Budgeting modules;

d. Defines application problem by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes;

e. Controls solution by establishing specifications and coordinating production with programmers;

f. Ensures operation stability by training users and providing support;

g. Participates in formal and on-the-job training in systems analysis, programming and inter-personal skills provided.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

Assigned Responsibilities

Work with the Team Lead, business analyst and business users in support of the operation and maintenance of CMS.

Participate in requirements prioritization.

Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.

Able to provide expertise on Financials and Budget and provide impact analysis

Able to decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements.

Able to prepare test data and test developed programs against user requirements

Able to prepare test scripts and test cases

Able to conduct User Acceptance testing

Able to write requirements specifications when requested according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.

Work closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

Able to define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements.

Support requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.

Participate in the implementation of the new system/solution.

Provide support to business users on production issues, how to and clarifications.

Able to guide business users and service desk on issues raised in production and clearly advise users/service desk on the functionalities available in CMS.

Able to handle technical work such as updating PL/SQL codes or Java codes or configure SaaS where possible.

Able to extract report and update data as requested by business users and approved by business owners ensuring such ad hoc updates will not compromise the features of the system.

Education Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting or related discipline

Relevant Experience and Other Requirements:

o Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level

o At least five (5) years' experience in a senior system analyst role, two (2) of which should be working with senior users.

o At least five (5) years' experience in Financial Applications with knowledge on Procurement.

o Experience as a quality assurance analyst is preferred

o Must have extensive experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) for professional documentation

o Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English

o Familiarity with Oracle relational databases and multi-tiered application concepts

o Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) and utilization in system development projects

o Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant business administration, operational policies relevant work program and concepts, procedures and practices

o Proven ability to conduct independent research by analyzing relationships among several parts of a problem or situation; breaking down a complex task into manageable parts in a systematic way, recognizing several likely causes of events, or several consequences of actions and generally anticipate obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps

Pay: Php120, Php180,000.00 per month
