Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist cum Benefits is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and administration of employee benefits. The role ensures compliance with labor laws and government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR), maintains payroll records, and provides support to employees regarding compensation and benefits concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a regular basis (weekly/bi-monthly/monthly).
  • Compute salaries, overtime, night differential, holidays, leaves, and other pay components.
  • Prepare and process final pay, back pay, and pay adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate computation and timely remittance of payroll-related deductions.
  • Government-Mandated Contributions & Compliance
  • Process and remit SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax accurately and on time.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, forms, and reconciliations.
  • Handle employee enrollment, updating, and maintenance of government records.
  • Coordinate with government agencies regarding payroll and benefits concerns

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits such as HMO, leave conversion, allowances, and incentives
  • Maintain benefits enrollment, utilization, and eligibility records.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and insurance companies.

Payroll Records & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate payroll databases and employee compensation records.
  • Prepare payroll summaries, cost reports, and management reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation.

Process Improvement & Confidentiality

  • Ensure payroll controls, data accuracy, and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and benefits processes.Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years experience in payroll and benefits administration (PH setting).
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory contributions.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and payroll systems.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
