Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process semimonthly payroll, including computation of salaries, overtime, allowances, commissions, bonuses, and deductions and final pay computation.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, including accurate computation of contributions to SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR (withholding tax).
  • Coordinate with HR department for attendance data, benefits, and compensation adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of payroll-related journal entries and reconciliation with accounting records.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll files and records with confidentiality.
  • Answer employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll experience, preferably in a Philippine-based company.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in BPO, shared services, or multinational companies.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees.
