STRUCTURAL ENGINEER/DRAFTER

Our Structures Team in Philippines is growing, as a result we are seeking to appoint a Structural Engineer/Drafter to join our Structural team. For design and drafting delivery services for our low and high rise-residential projects and commercial projects.

Reporting to the Lead Eng. – The primary focus of this role will include providing technical advice to facilitate the Structural design and drafting, specifications and reports and provide technical advice to resolve construction queries/certification.

Duties will include:

  • Structural design and assessment
  • Structural drafting and detailing
  • Structural façade wind modeling
  • Structural analysis and design (residential, low rise and high rise bldg.)
  • Conduct design checks on work completed by other engineers
  • Address building contractor and client queries during construction
  • Develop systems and concepts for a sustainable and efficient approach to structural engineering design

About You

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor's degree) in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Knowledge of Australian and other international standards
  • Proven experience with software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and equivalent finite element software (e.g., SAFE)
  • Design of transfer slabs.
  • Steel and timber design experience is a bonus
  • Knowledge of the following software—INDUCTA, TEDDS, Structural Toolkit, DESIGN IT, MICROSTRAN, and LIMCON—is a bonus.
  • Appreciation of building construction practices, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Ability to understand and manage the scope of services, budget, program, and delivery requirements for tasks and projects undertaken.
