Design Checker

Job description:

VIVA Railings is looking for a proficient Desing Checker to join our remote team at Viva Railings, based in the Philippines. Review and scrutinize design drawings, specifications, and associated documents for Viva Railing systems to ensure their alignment with industry norms, building codes, and client specifications.

• Conduct thorough checks on technical aspects, dimensions, materials, and product specifications to guarantee their precision and practicality.
• Work in tandem with our design and engineering teams to rectify any discrepancies, providing constructive feedback and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure that all design calculations, load capacities, and safety factors for our railing systems adhere to required standards and regulations.
• Identify and report any design-related issues or potential risks, offering suitable corrective actions or modifications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of design checks, including comments, revisions, and approvals.
• Participate in design review meetings, contributing your expertise to improve the overall quality and functionality of Viva Railing systems.
• Keep abreast with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to architectural railing systems, integrating newfound knowledge into the design checking process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of projects.

Qualifications

• Architectural and/or Mechanical Engineering or Drafter with construction field experience and 3D modeling experience in CAD and Revit.
• Comprehensive understanding of architectural and structural design principles, building codes, and industry norms.
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Revit.

Excellent attention to detail, coupled with the ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in design drawings.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to offer practical and efficient solutions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and design principles to ensure that Viva Railing systems' visual harmony and uniqueness are upheld in the final product.
