Who You Are

We're looking for a hands-on AI/ML Engineer who thrives on turning messy business challenges into real, working tools. This isn't a research lab role—it's about building applied AI that solves practical problems today.

You'll be the primary AI/ML builder on our team, working closely with our leadership to design and deploy AI-driven tools that make our operations—and those of our clients—more intelligent and efficient.

​​​​​​​What You'll Do​​​​​​

  • Build and deploy AI-powered knowledge management or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications using company and client data.
  • Design document generation and content creation tools from structured and unstructured data.
  • Fine-tune LLMs, design prompts, and integrate models into production environments.
  • Develop email automation and communication intelligence tools (classification, tone/style matching, sentiment analysis).
  • Evaluate whether to build vs. buy—and make smart, efficient choices using platforms like Zapier, Snowflake, Salesforce, or custom Python solutions.
  • Create data storytelling and natural language query tools that make analytics accessible to non-technical users.
  • Connect the dots between CRMs, cloud storage, APIs, and workflow tools to create cohesive, automated systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience applying AI/ML to business operations (not research).
  • Experience building knowledge management or RAG systems.
  • Comfort with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and model deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with email or NLP automation (classification, sentiment, or tone adaptation).
  • Security awareness when handling internal or client-sensitive data.
  • A "builder first" mindset—scrappy, resourceful, and focused on outcomes.

Secondary Strengths (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience developing data analytics or narrative query tools.
  • Familiarity with public health, civic, or government datasets.
  • Integration experience using Zapier, Make, or API connections between multiple systems.​​​​​​​
