The General Accounting Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies and government regulations. This role leads a small team of accountants to ensure proper workflow, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to company procedures.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Administrative

  • Review and implement accounting policies, forms, and process flows as approved by management.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports.
  • Monitor and check reports submitted by subordinates in G-Drive.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and proper record-keeping.
  • Assist in setting up accounting books and systems, and guide the team in recording transactions accurately.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts and budget implementation for the team.

2. Transaction Validation, Reporting, and Monitoring

  • Consolidate, review, and validate accounting reports, including daily cashiering reports, accounts receivable/payable, and weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
  • Supervise general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure accurate processing of transactions, including positive pay, bank remittances, and daily sales reports.
  • Assist in monitoring project and corporate budgets, providing summaries to management as needed.
  • Identify operational issues in accounting processes and recommend improvements.

3. Government Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and submit all required government reports on time.
  • Maintain proper filing of statutory documents and update monitoring records in G-Drive.
  • Ensure the team follows compliance guidelines in all accounting activities.

4. Team Management

  • Supervise and train accounting staff on proper procedures and best practices.
  • Provide updates to the team regarding rules, regulations, and adjustments from government agencies.
  • Ensure tasks are appropriately assigned, completed accurately, and submitted on time.
