Job Title: Accountant

Reports to: Financial Controller/Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role involves preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, as well as analyzing financial data to provide insights for business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing recommendations.
  4. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and company policies.
  6. Audit: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  7. Financial Planning: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) preferred
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
