The Senior Director, Business Development for TP Philippines will drive strategic growth across domestic market Customer Experience (CX), Finance & Accounting/Global Business Services (F&A/GBS), and IT as a Service (ITaaS) verticals. This executive role requires a highly skilled leader who can identify market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and lead complex deal negotiations to expand TP Philippines' portfolio and market share. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry expertise and a proven track record in business development within the BPO, shared services, and technology sectors.
The Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth in CX, F&A/GBS, and ITaaS for TP Philippines.
- Identify, qualify, and secure high-value new business opportunities, fostering long-term client partnerships.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing business development team to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, IT, legal) to ensure successful solution delivery and client satisfaction.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycles, including RFP responses, presentations, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
- Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in CX, F&A/GBS, and ITaaS.
- Represent TP Philippines at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Monitor and report on key business development metrics, pipeline progress, and market intelligence.
The Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 12 – 15 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management roles in the BPO, shared services (GBS), or technology services industry.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership position managing business development teams, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Proven success in selling and delivering CX, F&A/GBS, and ITaaS solutions to enterprise clients.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the BPO landscape, CX solutions, finance & accounting operations, shared services, and ITaaS delivery models.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic planning skills to identify market opportunities and develop actionable growth strategies.
- Relationship Management: Exceptional client relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Negotiation Skills: Advanced contract negotiation and deal-closing skills for complex, multi-year engagements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present at C-suite level.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring and leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with digital transformation, automation, cloud services, and IT outsourcing trends.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the Philippines or Southeast Asia market.
- Network of industry contacts and demonstrated success in building client relationships in the region.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
