This role is ideal for an experienced, client-facing bookkeeper who enjoys combining technical accounting work with meaningful client interaction. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, manage comprehensive bookkeeping functions, and contribute directly to the firm's growth. Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations in QuickBooks Online, including detailed transaction categorization and account management.

  • Perform accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Process payroll and create precise journal entries.

  • Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Communicate professionally with clients via email and phone to gather information, explain processes, and collect payroll data.

  • Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues proactively.

  • Take on additional administrative tasks during available hours to support business operations.

  • Work independently to identify and correct accounting inconsistencies before they escalate.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an advanced bookkeeper with a strong understanding of accounting principles and workflows.

  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and question financial data.

  • Excellent English communication skills for client-facing interactions.

  • Extensive experience with payroll processing and journal entry creation.

  • Solid knowledge of sales tax preparation and filing procedures.

  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts independently.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to resolve accounting errors.

  • Experience with complex reconciliations and comprehensive balance sheet analysis.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a growing, fast-paced environment.
