Job Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall nursing operations within assigned hospital units to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The role provides leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
Directs and supervises nurses and other healthcare staff in daily operations.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and fair work distribution.
- Conducts regular monitoring of patient care and staff performance.
Quality and Compliance:
Implements and enforces hospital policies and nursing standards.
- Ensures proper documentation, infection control, and patient safety practices.
- Participates in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Training and Development:
Guides and mentors nursing personnel to enhance professional competence.
- Organizes and facilitates nursing education and training programs.
Administrative Functions:
Prepares schedules, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
- Monitors unit supplies, equipment, and maintenance needs.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth hospital operations.
Patient and Family Relations:
Addresses patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Promotes patient satisfaction and continuous improvement in care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (with valid PRC license).
- Master's Degree in Nursing (required).
- At least 3–5 years of hospital experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, nursing standards, and quality management systems.
