Job Summary:

The Hospital Orderly assists in the safe and efficient transport and care of patients, while also supporting the hospital through basic maintenance and labor tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and minor repairs. The role ensures a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients safely to and from wards, diagnostic areas, and other departments.
• Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and transfers as directed by nursing staff.
• Support nurses and doctors in non-medical tasks during patient care.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and minor facility repairs.
• Report and assist in fixing leaks, clogs, broken fixtures, or damaged equipment.
• Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in wards, hallways, and service areas.
• Deliver supplies, equipment, and documents between departments.
• Assist in preparing rooms and beds for patient admission or discharge.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols at all times.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the nurse or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• At least high school graduate; vocational training in maintenance or healthcare assistance is an advantage.
• Preferably with experience as a hospital orderly or general utility worker.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Physically fit and able to lift or transfer patients and equipment safely.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to multitask.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php14, Php14,300.00 per month
