Job Title: Nurse Supervisor

Department: Nursing Services

Reports to: Chief Nurse

Job Summary:

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall nursing operations within assigned hospital units to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The role provides leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Directs and supervises nurses and other healthcare staff in daily operations.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and fair work distribution.
  • Conducts regular monitoring of patient care and staff performance.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Implements and enforces hospital policies and nursing standards.
  • Ensures proper documentation, infection control, and patient safety practices.
  • Participates in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Training and Development:

  • Guides and mentors nursing personnel to enhance professional competence.
  • Organizes and facilitates nursing education and training programs.

Administrative Functions:

  • Prepares schedules, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
  • Monitors unit supplies, equipment, and maintenance needs.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth hospital operations.

Patient and Family Relations:

  • Addresses patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Promotes patient satisfaction and continuous improvement in care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (with valid PRC license).
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (required).
  • At least 3–5 years of hospital experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, nursing standards, and quality management systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php28, Php30,000.00 per month
