Payroll Assistant

Job Summary:
Payroll Assistant ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, managing employee data, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and addressing all payroll-related inquiries. This position is responsible for record keeping, data management and reporting, and collaboration within the Company on payroll matters.
Job Description:
- Verifying and maintaining accurate records of attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments.
- Processing and issuing employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions. Ensuring timely and accurate distribution of payroll.
- Computing wages, deductions, and other relevant payroll information. Enter data into the payroll system and verify accuracy.
- Processing paperwork for new employees, including entering employee information into the payroll system and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Preparing and balancing period-end payroll reports. Reconciling issued payrolls to bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
- Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, HR, Business Administration or related field
- At least 1-2 years of work experience in payroll or related field
- Strong knowledge of payroll process/procedures both manual
- and with payroll system
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc)
- Proficiency is using shared drives and files (Google Sheets, Google Word, Google Drive, others)
- Familiarity with payroll software
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Time management skills
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Being able to handle multiple priorities and adjust to changing business conditions
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other related HR/Payroll Certifications is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php19,000.00 per month
