Key Responsibilities:

A.   Hardware Installation & Maintenance

1.    Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, servers, biometric devices, and other peripherals used in both head office and branch laboratories.

2.    Set up and maintain hardware connections for Laboratory System, ensuring analyzers and workstations are properly linked.

3.    Conduct regular preventive maintenance on laboratory computers, printers, UPS, routers, and switches.

4.    Troubleshoot and repair faulty hardware components, ensuring minimal downtime of laboratory operations.

B.   Laboratory Device & System Support

1.    Coordinate with laboratory suppliers/vendors on hardware-related issues of laboratory instruments.

2.    Provide on-site technical support for branches during system downtime, equipment relocation, or new branch set-up.

C.   Network & Connectivity

1.    Set up and maintain stable internet, LAN, and WAN connections across all branches.

2.    Install and configure network hardware (routers, switches, cabling) to support both office and laboratory operations.

3.    Monitor network connectivity of laboratory analyzers to ensure uninterrupted test result transmissions.

D.   Hardware Inventory & Documentation

1.    Maintain an updated record of all IT hardware assets (PCs, printers, analyzers' PCs, servers, routers, and peripherals).

2.    Monitor hardware usage, condition, and warranties, ensuring timely replacements and upgrades.

3.    Coordinate with Procurement/HR for evaluation and requisition of IT hardware supplies.

E.   Security & Compliance

1.    Implement physical and digital safeguards to protect patient data and laboratory records in compliance with DOH, HIPAA (if applicable), and company policies.

2.    Ensure that hardware devices (computers, storage, analyzers' PCs) are secured against unauthorized access.

3.    Support backup and disaster recovery procedures for hardware-related failures.

F.    User Support & Training

1.    Provide timely technical assistance to laboratory staff, medical technologists, and office employees for hardware-related issues.

2.    Conduct training sessions on the proper use, handling, and care of IT devices and laboratory-connected hardware.

3.    Prepare simple troubleshooting guides for staff to handle minor hardware issues.

G.   Branch & Expansion Support

1.    Assist in IT hardware setup for new branches, including installation of computers, network, and analyzer connectivity.

2.    Provide on-site visits to branches to resolve complex technical issues that cannot be addressed remotely.

3.    Ensure business continuity by minimizing downtime of laboratory operations due to hardware or network issues.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (preferably in a healthcare, laboratory, or corporate setting).

· Technical Skills:

o    Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices.

o    Experience in server setup and maintenance.

o    Familiarity with LAN/WAN, structured cabling, and network hardware.

o    Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues.

· Other Skills:

o    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

o    Good communication skills for providing technical support across multiple branches.

o    Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

Willing to travel to branches for hardware support as needed.
