What can you expect in a Systems Administrator role with TaskUs:

Picture yourself as one of the key support of our IT infrastructure, ensuring peak service availability and performance across the entire TaskUs network. This isn't a role for just anyone; it requires the best of the best. At TaskUs, we're dedicated to excellence, and that includes having top-notch Systems Administrators on our team.

As a Systems Administrator, your mission is clear: oversee IT systems services—including Active Directory, messaging, internet, file sharing, storage systems, and various applications—to guarantee 24/7 operations with minimal service disruption. Your day will be a blend of vigilance and proactive management, ensuring every alert is addressed swiftly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Keep a close watch on system health, perform troubleshooting, and handle incidents as necessary. Validate alerts and involve the appropriate IT technicians for further investigation. Your role is critical in identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Routine Maintenance: Carry out regular health checks beyond automated monitoring to swiftly detect and address service-affecting issues. Handle server, storage, and database backups, and ensure proper offsite storage and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all activities and generate periodic performance reports. Provide detailed metrics to management, both internal and customer-facing, as requested.
  • Incident & Change Management: Execute established procedures for event, incident, and change management. Follow escalation procedures and troubleshooting processes while fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment.
  • 24/7 Flexibility: Be prepared to manage these responsibilities around the clock, ensuring seamless support and maintenance at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience & Skills:
    At least 5 years of hands-on Systems Administration
    experience with a strong background in OS X Operating Systems, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash/Shell, PowerShell, or Python is a plus. Familiarity with the ITIL framework and Google Workspace Administration is advantageous.
  • Certifications: While not required, certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) for Windows Server 2016 or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are highly valued.
  • Communication Skills: Strong professional written and verbal communication skills are crucial, along with experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Technical Expertise with
    Azure
    &
    Cloud Infrastructure
  • Hands-on skill in
    PowerShell
    scripting and process automation. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code is a plus.
  • Can start ASAP or within 30 days.

Education / Certifications:

  • Holds a degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience in an engineering field.
