Job Summary:
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role requires strong leadership to manage baggers, operators, administrative staff, and logistics. A background in electrical work and equipment troubleshooting is essential to minimize downtime and keep operations efficient. The Plant Supervisor also oversees truck loading schedules, delivery route planning, and driver assignments to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate plant operations to ensure production schedules are met.
- Oversee machine operators, baggers, and administrative staff.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment, applying electrical skills to support maintenance teams.
- Ensure proper use of machinery and minimize unplanned downtime.
Team Leadership & Management
- Provide clear direction, discipline, and motivation to plant staff.
- Train and guide workers on safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Handle staff scheduling, attendance, and performance management.
Logistics & Distribution
- Plan and distribute truck loading based on daily demand and delivery routes.
- Assign drivers and monitor deliveries to ensure timely and efficient distribution.
- Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to balance production and logistics.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
- Ensure proper handling of electrical systems and production machinery.
- Support preventive maintenance programs.
Reporting & Administration
- Submit daily and weekly operations updates to management.
- Track and manage inventory of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Vocational/technical background in Electrical or related trade (TESDA certification or equivalent preferred).
- At least 3–5 years of supervisory or lead role experience in a plant, factory, or industrial setting.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Experience in logistics planning, delivery scheduling, and driver management.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
