Job Summary

The Risk, Legal, & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks while also providing legal guidance to management. This role combines legal expertise with risk and compliance oversight to ensure that the organization operates lawfully, ethically, and in alignment with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to management on corporate, labor, commercial, and contract matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Compliance Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits across business units.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements from government agencies, industry regulators, and international standards (if applicable).
  • Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential legal and compliance risks and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor changes in laws, rules, and regulations that impact the business.
  • Provide training to employees on compliance, ethics, and legal matters.
Governance & Reporting
  • Prepare compliance reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Support corporate governance initiatives and ensure board-level compliance requirements are met.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws and must be a licensed lawyer (member in good standing of the Bar).
  • 5–8 years of experience in legal practice, risk management, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, labor, commercial, and regulatory laws.
  • Experience in compliance, corporate governance, or risk management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
