About the Role

We are a fast-growing startup seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to build and lead our finance function from the ground up. This role is critical in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with solid technical expertise, a startup mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and build the Finance team, including processes, policies, and controls.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
  • Liaise with external parties to ensure timely compliance with government and regulatory requirements (e.g., tax authorities, business administration offices, foreign currency bureaus, banks, auditors, associations, and other agencies).
  • Oversee statutory and consolidated accounting, including P&L preparation, month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, and audit processes.
  • Oversee tax compliance (withholding taxes, VAT, customs duties, etc.) in coordination with Group support functions.
  • Administer the company's accounting and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other government regulations.
  • Handle general accounting functions, including preparation of Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of Philippine operations.
  • Identify financial trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed financial and analytical reports, including cost optimization, gross margin analysis, and KPI monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control and risk management frameworks.
  • Strengthen Finance, Procurement, and IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and other tasks as required by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in an auditing firm is a strong advantage.
  • Proven leadership, people management, and process improvement skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strong in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of value creation levers, cost optimization, and balanced risk–reward decision-making.
  • Technology-savvy with proficiency in financial and accounting systems/software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, regional teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving structures and priorities.
