Team Lead (TL) - Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) - US Mortgage Focus

This role is for a Team Lead who will manage and mentor a team of Loan Officer Assistants, ensuring efficient support for US Mortgage Loan Officers and adherence to US-specific lending regulations and processes.

Role Details

Job Title: Team Lead, Loan Officer Assistant (US Mortgage)

Target Account: US Mortgage / Residential Lending

Experience: 3–4 Years of professional work experience, with proven experience as a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) or in a relevant US mortgage support role.

Industry Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge of the US mortgage loan process from application to closing, including required documentation and standard regulatory compliance procedures.

Technical: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with industry-standard Loan Origination Systems (LOS) (e.g., Encompass, Calyx Point).

Salary Range: Monthly

Core Responsibilities (Management & Leadership)

Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs). Conduct regular 1:1 sessions, performance reviews, and training to develop LOA skills and industry knowledge.

Workflow Management: Oversee the team's daily pipeline and task distribution to ensure all Loan Officers receive consistent, high-quality administrative and processing support.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and checks of loan files prepared by the team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and strict compliance with US federal and state lending regulations (e.g., TRID, RESPA, etc.).

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices to streamline the LOA support function, reducing turn-around times for pre-approvals and loan submissions.

Escalation Point: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex file issues, system errors, or escalated communication challenges between the LOA team and internal/external partners.
