LOAN PROCESSING OFFICER

This role ensures accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of migration and personal loan applications. The role validates client information, verifies documentation, maintains records in the Loan Management System (LMS), and coordinates with clients and internal teams to support smooth loan approvals and disbursements. This position directly impacts loan turnaround time, client satisfaction, service quality, and business growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Loan Application Review & Processing

  • Assess loan applications for completeness and eligibility based on product guidelines.
  • Ensure all required documents (e.g., ID, income records, immigration papers) are complete and valid.

2. Document Verification

  • Validate authenticity of documents (e.g., payslips, bank statements, IDs).
  • Identify and escalate suspected fraud or documentation inconsistencies.

3. Loan Data Entry & Records Management

  • Encode and update client and loan data accurately in the Loan Management System (LMS).
  • Maintain real-time status updates and documentation notes.

4. Client Communication & Assistance

  • Send clear requests for missing or additional requirements.
  • Provide timely status updates and respond to inquiries professionally.

5. Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with underwriting, sales, and compliance to resolve gaps or discrepancies.
  • Facilitate handover of applications for approval and disbursement.

6. Compliance Monitoring

  • Adhere to AML, KYC, and data privacy laws and internal verification checklists.
  • Report suspicious activity promptly to compliance officers.

7. Loan Approval & Settlement Coordination

  • Schedule and manage loan approval reviews with managers/underwriters.
  • Oversee fund disbursement, milestone progress payments, and post-disbursement support.

8. Client Support & Service Delivery

  • Guide clients on loan-related concerns within role limitations.
  • Provide aftercare support and recommend appropriate solutions when applicable.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, HRM, Economics, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in loan processing, financial services, documentation analysis, customer service, or BPO is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of loan operations, AML/KYC practices, or financial documentation preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital document management tools.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
