This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to make a real impact by taking ownership of the financial backbone of a scaling business. You'll start by tackling an exciting challenge - transforming incomplete financial records into a clean, accurate foundation - before transitioning into ongoing operational responsibilities that will directly support the company's growth trajectory. Working with modern tools like QuickBooks and integrated e-commerce systems, you'll be instrumental in establishing sustainable financial processes and workflows that will serve as the cornerstone for future success. This role offers the perfect blend of problem-solving, system building, and ongoing financial management in a collaborative, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Transform and reconcile historical financial records to create a clean, accurate foundation for future growth
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks with precision and attention to detail
- Process and reconcile transactions from two distinct revenue streams: high-value B2B dealer relationships and dynamic e-commerce operations
- Handle expense management and reconciliation for company reimbursements across multiple team members
- Maintain accurate financial records for complex cross-border operations spanning Canada and United States markets
- Collaborate seamlessly with external accounting professionals for tax preparation and year-end financial processes
- Design and implement organized financial workflows and documentation systems that will scale with business growth
- Provide financial insights and reporting that support strategic decision-making
- 3-7 years of proven bookkeeping experience with demonstrated expertise in financial record management
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks software and ability to optimize its use for business needs
- Experience processing and reconciling high-volume e-commerce transactions and payment systems
- Strong independent work ethic with ability to adapt quickly to new business processes and systems
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially for complex reconciliation and cleanup projects
- Enthusiasm for learning Canadian business legislation and tax requirements with support from the team
- Excellent communication skills for seamless coordination with management and external financial professionals
- Comfort working in a remote, international team environment with flexible collaboration across time zones
