About the role

This is a full-time Bookkeeper position at Scanwell Logistics (Phils.) Inc. based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax authorities
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, preferably within the Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting industry
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
