JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Electrical Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in our growth and success. You will be the cornerstone of our pre-construction process, responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost models for complex solar and BESS projects. Your expertise will directly influence our bidding strategy, ensure project profitability, and enable us to deliver exceptional value to our clients. This is not just a costing role; it's a strategic position that requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, solar technology, and construction logistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimation & Cost Planning (70%)

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and request for quotations/request for proposals documents to perform detailed quantity take-offs (QTOs) for all electrical components: DC & AC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, switchgear, transformers, and mounting systems.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor services, and logistical requirements.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure optimal rates.
  • Prepare and present clear, detailed, and well-structured proposal documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and basis-of-estimate summaries for internal and client review.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to value engineer solutions without compromising on quality, safety, or performance.

Commercial & Quantity Surveying (30%)

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of tender and contract documents, including costs and clauses.
  • Track and report on project costs against budget during the initial phases, highlighting any potential variances.
  • Manage the change order process for pre-construction variations, providing pricing and impact analysis.
  • Work closely with Project Managers post-award to ensure a smooth handover of cost data and assumptions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field 0–2 years of experience (internships in solar/renewable energy preferred)

B. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES

  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and willingness to learn Pvsyst
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in field environments
  • Eagerness to obtain PRC license (for engineers) within 1–2 years.
